Organization Narrative
The Arc of Greater Lawrence (ArcGL) is the family support division of CLASS, Inc. The Arc of Greater Lawrence works with families and individuals affected by intellectual disabilities to ensure they have access to the information, advocacy, and skills needed to participate as active members of their community. The ArcGL supports parents and guardians in setting personal goals that address the needs of their sons and daughters with disabilities. The ArcGL works with families from the communities of Andover, Lawrence, Methuen and North Andover.
Programs we offer include:
- “Our club” which includes swimming, music, computer and arts & crafts at the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence
- Cooking Lessons at Merrimack College
- Bi-Monthly dances
- “The Adventurer’s Club” an outdoor program in partnership with Adventurelore
- Summer Boating Program in collaboration with the Greater Lawrence Community Boating House
